Taste the rare.

laroliva — A Rare Olive Oil from the Mountains of Alicante

High in the mountains of Sax, Alicante, surrounded by protected nature, our olive trees have been standing for generations. Some of them are more than 100 years old, rooted in a landscape where tradition, patience and respect for nature come together.

Laroliva is a family-owned olive oil estate, created with a deep connection to our land, our heritage and our family story. Every step of the process reflects our personal dedication — from caring for the trees to harvesting the olives by hand and preserving the unique character of our oil.

Our oil is made from Changlot Real, an ancient and native olive variety from Alicante that has been cultivated in this region since Roman times. Today, it is one of the world’s rarest olive varieties, grown on only a small number of hectares worldwide.

Each olive is carefully hand-harvested and transformed in a certified organic mill, where the oil is cold extracted and bottled directly to preserve its exceptional quality and flavor.

Changlot Real is known for its intense aroma, full body and distinctive taste. With an exceptionally high oil content of over 25%, our olives create a rich and powerful extra virgin olive oil appreciated by true olive oil lovers and recognized in international competitions.

Our estate is located at around 600 meters above sea level, surrounded by protected landscapes. This unique environment allows us to cultivate our olives in harmony with nature, creating an oil that truly reflects the purity and character of its origin.

Laroliva — a taste of heritage, nature and eternity.

More than olive oil — a story of love and memory

The name Laroliva carries the memory of Lara, our daughter, whose life touched ours deeply and whose presence remains an everlasting part of our family.

Like our ancient olive trees, which have endured through generations and continue to give fruit year after year, love and memories transcend time.

Every bottle of Laroliva represents a connection between past and future — a piece of our land, our family, and our story. When you enjoy our olive oil, you become part of that story.

Family-Owned

As a family-owned estate, every part of Laroliva is personal. From caring for the trees and harvesting the olives to the oil that ultimately carries our daughters name, we remain closely connected to every step.

We believe true quality comes from patience, attention and respect for what is already there. Rather than pursuing mass production, we preserve the character of our land, our trees and the rare variety they bear.

Fully Organic

Our olives grow organically in the mountains of Alicante, surrounded by a protected Mediterranean landscape.

The olives are carefully hand-harvested and taken to a certified organic mill, where the oil is cold extracted to preserve the qualities and natural character of the fruit.

For us, organic production is more than a certification. It reflects a philosophy of working thoughtfully with the land, allowing nature to remain at the heart of everything we produce.

Changlot Real

Changlot Real is a rare Spanish olive variety, deeply rooted in the Valencian landscape and particularly cherished in the inland regions of Alicante.

Naturally rich in oil, oleic acid and polyphenols, it produces an expressive, full-bodied oil with green and ripe fruit notes, complemented by delicate hints of almond and banana.

For Laroliva, Changlot Real represents rarity, provenance and the distinctive character of the land from which it comes.

A Taste of our Land

Nestled in the mountains of Sax, Alicante, our olive grove lies at around 600 metres above sea level, surrounded by protected Mediterranean landscapes.

Here, centuries-old olive trees grow in a unique environment shaped by mountain air, abundant sunlight and the rich traditions of Alicante. Among them is the rare Changlot Real — a native variety deeply rooted in the region’s history.

This exceptional place is more than the home of our olives. It is the origin of Laroliva — where nature, heritage and craftsmanship come together to create an oil with a true sense of place.
